A fragrance divine

Freya (Old Norse Freyja, “Lady”) is one of the preeminent goddesses in Norse mythology. There are four aspects to her nature – Sorcery, Fertility, Love and Beauty and these aspects are reflected in the branding produced by Mustard for a range of cosmetics and fragrances under her name. The branding required simplicity and flexibility of application coupled with the minimalist sense of a high quality product that is inherent in most good cosmetic branding. The brand required a timeless, mystical quality and this is achieved by utilising a runic font to enhance the Scandinavian aspect of the branding and an iconic mysterious figure as the brand’s visual symbol.
